Based in Columbia, TN Mercury Red is formed from the group originally named Offset, who had regional success in Nashville being named “Local Artist of The Month” by 102.9 The Buzz for two consecutive months in 2012.
As lineups have changed, the group decided to reformat their approach and change their name. The name Mercury Red is a symbol for how the band tuned their sound to the social and cultural events that shape our lives today.
The band’s debut EP places emphasis on issues like suicide and bullying with the songs, “Crossfire” and “Alone”, but the group also tackles chasing dreams and having faith in yourself with “Gravity” Like Mercury rising with the climate, so too will the band rise as musicians as the world evolves around them.
